Edward Karpman, MD, FACS
Dr Edward Karpman is a board certified urologist and
one of the few urologists who is also fellowship trained in
Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, Microsurgery
and Male Sexual Dysfunction. He grew up in Southern
California and attended college at the University of California,
Davis where he graduated with Honors in Biological Sciences.
He went on to medical school at the University of Vermont
where he was awarded the James Demeules surgical research
award and scored in the top 5% of all medical school
graduates in the nation on his medical board exams. He
completed his urologic surgery training at the University of
California, Davis Medical Center where he received several
awards for his research and publication. Dr Karpman was then
awarded a prestigious fellowship in Male Reproductive
Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas
Medical Center in Houston, Texas. There he specialized in
Male Infertility, Microsurgery and Male Sexual Dysfunction. Dr
Karpman has authored numerous articles on the subject of
urology and male infertility and serves as a reviewer for The
Journal of Urology and the Asian Journal of Andrology. Dr
Karpman has been an invited lecturer on the subjects of
testosterone replacement, male sexual dysfunction and male
infertility. He serves as a proctor for laser surgery of the
prostate, penile implants and male incontinence operations,
helping other physicians to perform these operations. Dr
Karpman is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
