Larry H. Kretchmar, M.D.
Dr Kretchmar is a board certified urologist (1967) and Fellow of
the American College of Surgeons.  He grew up in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, and attended Dartmouth College, where he was
elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  He went to Northwestern University
Medical School in Chicago, graduating in 1958.  Dr Kretchmar
interned and had one year of general surgery at Dartmouth
Medical School (Mary Hitchcock Hospital) in New Hampshire.  
He completed his urology residency at the University of
Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, in
1964 and authored or co-authored 12 scientific articles.  He
entered the practice of urology with Dr Alvin Rutner at El
Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California, in August 1964.  
Dr Kretchmar served as a commander in the U.S. Navy Medical
Corps from 1967 to 1969, spending one year at Balboa Naval
Hospital in San Diego and one year at the naval hospital in
Danang.
